Hunt Armed Jackson Heights Bank Bandit

Police are searching for a man who held up a Jackson Heights bank at knifepoint on November 6.

Cops said the man walked into a Sterling National Bank branch at 72-33 Broadway at about 4:15 p.m. on November 6, where he flashed a knife while passing a note to a teller demanding cash.

The teller complied and handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash police said. The man then fled the bank and headed on foot, northbound on 73rd Street.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male with a beard and moustache. He was wearing a tan overcoat, gray hooded sweatshirt, a dark colored scarf, blue jeans and light colored shoes at the time of the holdup.
