Two Men Wanted In Brutal Astoria Stab-Robbery

By Liz Goff
Police are searching for two suspects who assaulted and robbed two men inside an Astoria apartment on August 23.

Cops released a surveillance photo of one of the suspects (see photo) who entered the apartment on 33rd Street near 31st Avenue with an accomplice at about 11:20 p.m. on August 23.

The suspects argued with the victims and punched them in the face, police said. When the victims tried to flee the scene, one was stabbed in the hand and the back by one of the suspects, police said.

The suspects made off with a suitcase containing $800 cash and fled the building, heading north on 33rd Street, police said.

The stabbing victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition, and is expected to survive, police said.

The suspects are described as white males in their early 20s, with short brown hair.
