Congressmember Joe Crowley (D-Queens, The Bronx), vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus and a leader in the fight for comprehensive immigration reform, recently met with a diverse group of New York immigration advocates to discuss the importance of comprehensive reform and the road forward.

“This collective group shows that the need for immigration reform stretches far beyond individual ethnic groups and immigrant communities and is really an issue that affects us all,” said Crowley. “I look forward to continuing this dialogue with these groups, as well as others in the community, as we work to finally address our nation’s broken immigration system.”

The meeting was attended by a diverse group of advocacy groups, including: Adhikaar, Korean Americans for Political Advancement (KAPA), Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY), MinKwon Center for Community Action, New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE), New York Immigration Coalition, NYS Interfaith Network for Immigration Reform and Queens Community House.
