Offer $2G Reward For Armed Astoria Bandits

By Liz Goff

Queens detectives are seeking help from the public to identify and locate three suspects wanted in connection with a brazen, armed street robbery in Astoria on July 29.

Police last week released surveillance photos of the suspects (see photo) who confronted a Chinese food deliveryman at gunpoint at about 7:18 p.m. on July 29 outside an address on 12th Street in Astoria.

The suspects flashed the weapon at the terrified victim and demanded that he turn over his cash and belongings, police said.

The victim complied and handed over $400 in cash, an electric bike and the food order he was carrying to the suspects, who fled in an unknown direction.

Police sources said investigators believe the suspects lured the deliveryman to the location with the food order and pounced on the unsuspecting victim when he arrived at the bogus address.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers HOTLINE at 1-800-577-TIPS or click on www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

The HOTLINE is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
