CROWLEY GETS 2ND HUMANE SOCIETY AWARD:


Congressmember Joseph Crowley (D- Queens/The Bronx) has received the Humane Society's Humane Advocate Award for the second year in a row. Crowley, who was cited as a "consistent advocate for animal welfare", scored a perfect 100 percent for votes dealing with animal-friendly legislation. Among the issues voted on was a bill to protect pets during disasters, and another to stop horse slaughter for food export.
